About the role
Signzy is looking for a Legal Counsel to manage a broad range of commercial legal matters. The role will focus on contract review and execution, customer dispute resolution, and legal support for M&A transactions. We are looking for someone who can offer practical advice, work closely with business teams, and take ownership of matters through to closure.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize customer, vendor, partner, and other commercial agreements.
- Coordinate contract execution and maintain clear records of signed agreements and key obligations.
- Manage customer disputes, including reviewing claims, advising on responses, negotiating resolutions, and coordinating with external counsel when needed.
- Support M&A activities, including legal due diligence, transaction documentation, and closing requirements.
- Advise internal teams on contractual risks and help develop workable solutions.
- Improve legal templates and processes to support timely, consistent decision-making.
Requirements
- LL.B. degree with 5–8 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in an in-house role or a law firm with a strong commercial practice.
- Strong experience in commercial contract drafting, review, and negotiation.
- Experience handling customer disputes and working with business stakeholders to resolve them.
- Exposure to M&A transactions and legal due diligence.
- Clear communication, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple matters independently.
- Company Secretary (CS) qualification will be an added advantage.
