About the Role
We are looking for a Java Developer (junior to mid-senior level) to design, build, and maintain
backend services and APIs that power our B2B SaaS and financial platforms. You will work on
secure, scalable, high-availability systems used by banks, NBFCs, and fintech partners,
collaborating closely with product, frontend, QA, and DevOps teams.
Key Responsibilities
● Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Java (8+/17+)
and Spring/Spring Boot.
● Implement features and workflows for payments, lending, core banking integrations, and
other BFSI/fintech use cases.
● Build and optimize database models and queries using relational databases
(PostgreSQL/MySQL) and ORM frameworks such as JPA/Hibernate.
● Contribute to multi-tenant, cloud-native SaaS architecture, ensuring security,
performance, and reliability of shared services.
● Write unit and integration tests (JUnit, Mockito/TestNG) and participate in code reviews
to uphold coding standards and best practices.hiring.
● Profile and tune application performance, including memory management, garbage
collection behavior, connection pooling, and caching (e.g., Redis).
● Integrate with message queues, third-party fintech APIs, and internal microservices for
event-driven and asynchronous workflows.
● Collaborate across functions to refine requirements, provide technical estimates, and
support release planning and production deployments.
● Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring robust logging, monitoring, error
handling, and incident follow-up.hiring.
● Create and maintain technical documentation for services, APIs, and system
integrations.
Required Qualifications (Junior–Mid Level)
● Experience: Approximately 1–5 years of hands-on experience as a Java Developer /
Backend Developer on the JVM in production environments.
● Strong command of core Java (collections, generics, streams, concurrency) and
object-oriented design principles.
● Practical experience with Spring/Spring Boot, including building RESTful APIs and
backend services.
● Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and ORM tools
such as Hibernate/JPA.
● Familiarity with build and dependency management tools (Maven/Gradle) and Git-based
workflows.
● Basic understanding of software development life cycle, Agile methodologies, and
test-driven development principles.
● Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to debug and troubleshoot
backend issues.
● Effective communication and teamwork skills, with ability to collaborate across
engineering, product, and business teams.
Domain & Sector Experience (Preferred)
● Experience working on products or projects in Banking, BFSI, or Fintech (payments,
lending, digital onboarding, core banking integrations, etc.).
● Exposure to B2B or enterprise SaaS platforms, including multi-tenant architectures,
cloud deployments, and subscription-based products.
● Understanding of security, compliance, and data privacy considerations in financial
services (e.g., secure coding, authentication/authorization, encryption).
